As a United fan I just wish it was over, if he's gonna leave then just say it and get it done with.

I do think he wants it done by the time pre season starts as I think he wants to avoid Fergie big time, especially after Fergie stood by him with the World Cup Rooney/Ronaldo incident.

Lee if I were a Utd fan I would tell Ronnie where to go.. He's disrespected man Utd all summer long.. He never had a true love for Utd.. Him and Rooney have a history remember??

At the minute I just want him to go and I don't know how he can face his team mates or fans who stood by him 2 years ago with the Rooney incident.

Another part of me wants him to stay as he is World Class, although I don't think he'll be as successful at Real Madrid.

Your right, he never really loved Utd, and probably saw us a platform to get to Real Madrid or Barcelona. We could sell him and have the money and bring in Nani and buy a replacement but it would make me laugh if Fergie shoved him in the reserves till Christmas then sold him for 40 million in the transfer window.

If history has shown one thing, its that Utd or any team always survive without a player like that, I never thought we'd be the same when Cantona left yet in 99 we did the Treble

Yup I agree man, no player is bigger than Utd. As you say, history has proven that time and time again. Also I think that regardless of a players skill level, sometimes principle needs to come into it. Ronaldo has turned his back on Utd after all they've done for him, and he needs to see the error of his ways.

As I say though, his career will go downhill if he does go to Madrid. I have no doubt. He will be one of many stars all of a sudden. Funny, but two other Utd players to go to Spain, Van Nistelrooy and Beckham, both basically committed career suicide. The same will happen to Ronaldo (I hope )

I agree about principles coming into but sometimes papers do make loads of crap up to sell copies. In this case he should be publicy saying he wants to stay so the papers are probably true. If so I hope when he leaves he suffers a long term injury or just does really really crap.

Your right about Beckham and Van Nistlerooy. The thing with Real Madrid is they think because they are Real they can just turn up and win. Man U have a good work ethic. Even though Rooney and Tevez aren't prolific there work rate and movement creates so much room for midfielders and full backs who score more than they would at other teams.

The one thing thats always annoyed me about Ronaldo is when he loses the ball, he throws tantrums instead of trying to get back, whereas Rooney and Tevez will chase back 60 yards to win the ball back. Without players like this Ronaldo will suffer
